If you’re looking for authentic Hawaiian BBQ this is the place!!! Service was great, food was fresh and the katsu was nice and crispy. Highly recommend the loco moco plate!!! Love this place.

I am a native Texan but I lived on Maui for 7 years and became very fond of local Hawaiian Kitchens, its been 16 years since I came back to Texas and I have always missed places like "Da Kitchen" on Maui, well I dont have to miss them anymore because Maikai brings that Authentic Island Kitchen food right here to Houston of all places.. Its here and its really good. The Chicken Katsu tastes nearly identical to what I was used to on Maui and maybe the sauce is even a tad bit sweeter which was excellent... Large portions of food at great prices. This place is a Hidden Gem... Definitely stop here if you want authentic Hawaiian syle BBQ Plates.

The food here was absolutely amazing! Sooo glad I took a chance to stop by and give the food here a try. The staff was very welcoming and nice. The food was better than I'd hope for. I tried the bbq beef dish and when they say the meat is tender, they mean it! The hawaiian bbq sauce was really delicious too. Definitely check this place out if you want fresh, quality food for a great price!

First time here to this Hawaiian restaurant. Been looking for one since they closed L&L in the Heights. I came here after work and this place did not disappoint. I got the BBQ & Katsu Mixed plate and wow it was fire 🔥 My food tasted fresh and delicious, reminding me of the islands. I definitely recommend this place. Good location, plenty of parking, good AC, clean environment and island vibes. The service was even better. Great hospitality as if you’re on an island! Thanks for the good food and great service. Give this place a try!

We loved the chicken katsu with rice and mac salad plus the loco moco. We ordered a couple more plates to take home except I ordered the beef short ribs with rice since I was indecisive on what to eat at the restaurant. Definitely will be back again 💯 Really good food!
